World War II
Posts tagged World War II reflect a lifelong fascination with the conflict, one I picked up partly from a grandfather who survived years as a prisoner of war. The war has held my attention since childhood, and it shows up across my writing in history, ethics, and the hard questions it forces.
I am not interested in the war as nostalgia or spectacle. I am interested in the decisions, the costs, and the moral weight of total conflict, including the choices that are still argued about today. When I write about World War II, I try to look at the evidence squarely rather than reaching for a comfortable conclusion.
These posts range from personal connection to historical analysis. They share a refusal to flatten one of history’s most consequential periods into easy lessons.
