Renaissance Faire

Posts tagged Renaissance Faire come from my years photographing the faire circuit, part of a photography life that began after my wife died and grew into hundreds of events across the country. The faires are a world of their own, full of color, character, and craft.

After Claudia’s death in 2005 I picked up a camera and rebuilt my life around it. The Renaissance faires became one of mymain subjects, and I spent years documenting their performers, costumes, and atmosphere.

These posts share that world and the experience of photographing it, from the spectacle to the people who bring it to life.
